South Dakota Abortion Ban {Day 3}
Abortion — By Joe Carter on February 4, 2004 at 1:35 am [Note: This thread is an ongoing effort to draw attention to South Dakota’s attempt to ban abortion.]
According to a Legislative Report, the South Dakota House State Affairs Committee will be taking up the bill next week. The wording is expected to be changed to prevent the bill from outlawing birth control pills. Appropriations are also expected to be added in order to fund the inevitable court battle that will follow the bill’s passage.
The mainstream media has still not picked up the story, though more bloggers are joining in to draw attention to this valiant effort. Please visit these sites and show that their support is not going unnoticed:

If it doesn’t ban Abortifacients intentionally used as such (the pill has other medical uses), it doesn’t ban Abortion. “The Morning After Pill” is RU486, just done earlier.
Further, many states banned contraceptives – they were considered a grave sin by all mainline protestant churches before 1930.
If you are going to emit bodily fluids into the wind, it is only a problem if you don’t or can’t put enough pressure behind it.
