I was at the Yorba Linda Tea Party as well. I was proud of our City’s support and I think the crowd had a nice variety of concerned citizens. I think we need to have more rallies in the future to send a message to all our arms of government. If we don’t speak up now, we may end up regretting it!

Bill, the “truth” is that gov’t is a “trough,” a pig trough, or is that a “Duh!!” I feel a sign slogan coming on…. :-)
We went to a big party in Fresno, over 7000 folks. Again, some great signs. A guy in a BO mask holding a sign that read “Where’s my teleprompter?” was one of the very few political signs. Most, like yours, focused on gov’t mismanagement and excessive taxation. My husband had a clever one: “HOAX and CHAINS” and mine read “We should fear God, not our government.”
If anyone is ignorant of economics and gov’t, then we all are. Who can possibly fathom or predict the repercussions of a 3.6 trillion dollar federal budget and the Fed printing money as fast as the presses can print? Oh, why didn’t I invest in the company that makes the ink used to print those hundred dollar bills???
